Biosynthesis of protein

  • Proteins are synthesized on ribosome, programmed with mRNA.
  • Ribosomes are ribonucleoprotein particles present in the cytoplasm and within mitochondria.
  • In Eukaryotes, ribosomes contain two sub-units 80s ( 60s and 40s) and in bacteria 60 s ( 50 s and 30 s).
