• Over 300 hours of temperature below 20⁰C ( 68⁰F) followed by warm temperature will induce flowering.

• Albedo = A whitish “rag” or mesocarp covering the endocarp of fruit.
• Flavedo = Oil glands

Seeds

• Polyembryonic
• Embryo are either Zygotic or nucellar.

• 5-8 and Opt. 6-7.

Propagation

• By seeds and vegetative means.

Degreening/Curing/Gassing

• Turning green or yellow-green color of skin to orange.
• Done by using ethylene.
