Nutrient cycling

Nutrient cycling is the flux of nutrients within and between the various biotic or abiotic pools in which nutrients occur in the soil environment.  Autotrophic plants obtain a number of inorganic nutrients from the environment, which become component of organic matter. From autotrophs nutrients goes to other living constituents and again in the environment with the help of decomposers. In this way, nutrients circulate between living and non-living organisms.
