Few other types of sampling techniques
a. multi-phase sampling:
- Part of sample collected from whole and part from subsample.
- Less costly, less laborious and more purposeful.
b. Matched random sampling:
- First gathering the similar sample at one place and distributing evenly these samples to all.
- Eg: Milk yield of cow before and after being fed a particular diet.
c. Event sampling:
- Allow researchers to study ongoing experiences and events that vary in its naturally-occurring environment.
- Eg: Writing experiences in diary.
- In Event sampling, participants are asked to record their experience and perceptions in a paper or electronic diary.
- Event sampling method don’t give meaningful prediction when
a) Someone performs a repetitive task throughout the day.
b) Dependent variables are long term in nature ( Coronary heart problems)
