Weed management is an approach that include a number of activities or methods to minimize the losses caused by weed in crop field.

Weed control method :
- Manual : Hand weeding by pulling 20 and 40 DAS/T.
- Mechanical : Implements like hoe , khurpi , spade , cono weeder , rotatory weeer and other tillage implements.
- Physical : Burning or firing , mulching , soil solarization , flooding.
- Cultural : Method and time of tillage ( good crop husbandry) planting , fertilizer application, irrigation , competitive variety , crop rotation , inter cropping.
- Biological : Insects , fungi , fish , snails , ducks .
- Chemical :
a) Herbicides : Chemical that kills plants or weeds.
b) Preplant : Glyphosphate
c) Pre-emergence : Butachlor , Pendimethalin
d) Post – emergence : 2,4 -D , Bispyribae sodium.
