• Streptococcus equi

b) Transmission:

• Direct contact
• Indirect (Utensils)
• Colonizes on upper respiratory tract

c) Symptoms:

• Fever
• Lethargy
• Nasal Discharge
• Depression
• Anorexia
• Swollen lymph nodes

d) Treatment:

• Antibiotics (Penicillin)
• Anti-inflammatories
• Do endoscopy to check prevalence of infection
• Isolate the infected animal
• Vaccination
• Herd immunity
• Disinfecting the area
