Vertical Turbine Pump:

  • It is a vertical axis centrifugal or mixed flow type pump comprising of stages which accommodate rotating impeller and stationary bowls possessing guide vanes.
  • They are specially adapted to tube wells for seasonal fluctuation in the water level in the well.
  • They are adapted to high lifts and have efficiencies under optimum operating conditions.
  • However, they have higher initial cost and are more difficult to install and repair.
