Universal antidote

Activated charcoal : 2 parts

Magnesium oxide: 1 part

Tannic acid : 1 part

Warm water: 1 glass

Other antidote: enormous amount of milk, strong tea, white of several eggs mixed in milk, burnt toast or plenty of water.

Specific antidote

a. Organic chlorine poisoning:

• Phenol-barbitol @ 0.7 g/day.
• 10% calcium gluconate injection.

b. Organophosphate poisoning:

• Atropine sulphate intravenously.
• Protopam chloride ( 2 PAM).

c. carbamate poisoning:

• Atropine sulfate 2 mg intravenously.

d. Nicotine poisoning:

• Potassium permanganate

e. Arsenal poisoning:

• Universal antidote

f. Zinc phosphide poisoning:

• Allow vomiting with one tea spoonful mustard powder.
• Potassium permanganate, Copper sulfate, Magnesium sulfate (Epson) in glass of water.
