i) Growth regulator:- Eg: 2,4-D, MCPP, Dicamba and Triclopyr

ii) Inhibitor of Amino acid synthesis:- Eg: Glyphosphate, Halosulfuron, Imazethapyr and Sulfometuron

iii) Cell membrane disrupter:- Eg: Oxyfluorfen, Lactofen and Acifluorfen

iv) Lipid biosynthesis inhibitor:- Eg: Diclofop, Fluazifop, Sethoxydim and Clethodim.

v) Pigment inhibitor: Eg: Norflurazon, Fluridone and Amitrol

vi) Growth Inhibitor of shoots: Eg: Thiuocarbamate, EPTC, Cycloate, Pebulate and Monliate.

vii) Disrupt cell division: Eg: Trifluralin, DCPA, Dithiopyr, Oryzalin, Pronamide, pendimethalin and Napropamide.
