Regression analysis

• Set of statistical process to estimate the relationship between variables ( dependent and independent variables)
• Research question tells us about if there is any relation?
• Hypothesis tells us about the relation between variables.
• Process of predicting variable Y using variable X.

Note: Which test to perform?

a) If there are difference between groups :t-test, ANOVA.

b) If there are relationship between groups : Correlation, Regression Analysis.

I) p value ≤ 0.05 ; reject null hypothesis and accept alternate hypothesis.

ii) p value ≥ 0.05; accept null hypothesis and reject alternat hypothesis.

iii) We use interference to get the p value.
