t-test

• Its purpose is to find out if there is significant difference between two sets of data.
• Height of boys and girls at different age : unpaired ( means two sample aren’t related).
• Marks obtained by students in different subject : Paired ( means samples are related)
• To test difference in means for two small samples ( n<30) from population that are approximately normal.
• To test the linear dependence to check if the two samples are unrelated/ independent.
• Used for continuous variable
