Types of environments
a) Researcher controlled environment
b) Semi-controlled environment
c) Uncontrolled environment
Why?
- To investigate relationship between genotype and different environmental changes.
- To identify genome that perform well over a wide range of environment.
- To identify genotype which perform well in particular environment.
Why experimental designs are used?
- So that treatment may be assigned in an organized manner.
- To allow valid statistical analysis to be carried out on the resulting data.
- To evaluate sources of variation keeping free from extraneous environmental factor.
