Types of t-test

a) Independent t-test:

• Is applied when we want to test difference between the means/ average of two completely independent groups.

b) Paired t-test:

• Is applied when we have two dependent samples from just one population and want to see if they are significantly different.
• Compares the mean and S.D of two related group.
• Determines if there is significant difference between the groups.
• Significant difference occurs due to sampling error or chance.
