Introduction
- Feeding standards refers to the table showing the quantities of nutrients to be fed to the various classes of livestock for different physiological functions like growth, maintenance, lactation, egg production and wool growth.
- Has the following objectives:
a) To guide farmers to selecting properly balanced rations or their livestock.
b) To classify different physiological functions like growth, maintenance, lactation, egg production and wool growth.
c) Considering individual animal for preparation of FS due to their ability to digest and utilize feed.
