Advantages of Dapog method :

  • Less area is required compared to dry and wet bed method.
  • Seedlings are ready for earlier transplanting.
  • This provides opportunity to escape from disease and insects.
  • No need to apply chemical fertilizer.
  • Easier in uprooting seedling.

 

Disadvantage and limitations of Dapog method :

  • Seedlings are delicate and weak.
  • Raising seedling and transplanting is more technical.
  • Seedlings should be transplanted in 2 weeks.
