Dapog method :

  • Came in Nepal from Philippines.
  • Seed bed preparation is not necessary.
  • Seedlings are raised in open field , polythene sheet , cemented floor , wooden platforms or banana leaves.
  • The area requirement is only 40 m2 per hactare.
  • Banana stem or woods are used to protect side of bed.
  • Sprinkle water 3 times daily.
  • Seedling are ready for transplanting within 2 weeks.
  • Thus, in this method, seedlings are grown under soil less condition.
