- Field cricket :
- Damage young root and shoot portion under the soil .
- It can be managed by irrigation and by spraying Chloropyriphos.
- Stem borer :
- Stem damage of vegetative stage cause dead heart.
- Stem damaged at flowering cause white head.
- Rice hispa :
- White linings or spots on stem or leaf.
- Spray chloropyrifos or malathion for its management.
- Rice bug :
- Sucks saps of plant, yellowing and dessication of plant and barren grains for management , light trap , dirty trap , spray cypermethrin.
- Leaf roller :
- Rolling , yellowing and drying of leaves .
- Spray bacillus thuringenesis ) @ 1.5 gm/ litre water.
