Seed incubation :

  • Practiced in all method except dry bed method.
  • Incubation helps in uniform seed germination and crop stand establishment.
  • Seed are soaked in clean water for about 24 hrs.
  • Drain excess water and spread over shady place.
  • Seed should be heaped and covered with gunny bags for about 24-36 hours.
  • Sprinkle water to keep the gunny bag moist.
