Sowing method :
a) Broadcasting :
- By hand or seed spreader.
- It is the most common and easier method in Nepal.
- Here , no uniformity is seen in spacing , sowing depth and plant population.
- No uniformity in germination and crop stand establishment.
b) Sowing behind the plough :
- Kera method : Seed are dropped by hand on furrow opened by local plough.
- Pora method : Seed are dropped by pora or nair attached with local plough.
c) Drilling :
- Done by seed drill machine under CT , MT or ZT conditions.
d) Dibling :
- Placing seed in hole made by driller , peg or hand.
- Consumes more time and labour.
- It requires less speed as compared to other method.
