Harmful effect on the living organisms caused by environmental pollution
- Damage the respiratory tract, cause cancer, mutations, birth defects, headache, dizziness, palpitations, vomiting, toxic to plants caused by air pollution.
- Typhoid, cholera, dysentery, hepatitis, epidemic diseases caused by water pollution.
- Hot water dissolved more or mineral salts and less of oxygen, unbalance the aquatic ecosystem caused by the thermal pollution.
- Indirect harmful to human health, death of animals, fish and phytoplankton caused by industrial pollution.
- Unfit for arable land for crop production, unbalance the aquatic ecosystem conditions, unfit for navigation caused by silt pollution
- Toxic to micro flora and hamper the microbial ecosystem by land pollution
- Harmful effect on cardiovascular and nervous system of human beings, damage hearing capacity temporarily or permanently caused by noise pollution.
- Genetic disturbance, bone tumor, leukemia, dis balance the marine ecosystem caused by radioactive pollution.
- Green house effect, at least, may be completely destroyed/changed the whole natural ecological balance, there will be no more existence in the nature.
Control measures of pollution
- A concrete planning and environmental awareness should be needed.
- Government should make a standard rules an regulations against pollution that should be forcedly imposed on the defaulters.
- Domestic and industrial waste products should be profitably used.
- Sewage and sewage waste should be chemically treated before mixing in streams, rivers and ocean.
- Afforestation, preservation of green belt, reforestation should be taken up every year.
- Industrial chimneys should be banned or protected or well filtered before discharging into air.
- Every kind of diesel and petrol engines should be discarded.
- Maximum use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, etc. should be reflected.
- Reform the diesel and petrol engines with the advancement of scientific knowledge.
- Reduce the intensity of sound.
