- Farmstead includes all the farms, buildings which are used directly or indirectly in the production of crops and livestock.
- It includes A farmhouse, dairy barns, machinery sheds, godowns for grain storage, silo, threshing yards, roads, residential house etc. usually 3-5% of total area covers the farmstead.
Selection and location of the farmstead:
- It should be in suitable site, properly designed buildings for individual purposes, farm house are grouped as required.
