Thermal insulation

Insulation is used to reduce the flow of heat into an out of the structure by using proper materials of low thermal conductivity.

Functions of thermal insulation:

It reduces the heat loss from building in winter and cause heat flow into building in summer.
It keeps the building safe from sudden fluctuation of weather i.e. temperature.
It saves the fuel cost.
It controls the condensation.

Types of thermal insulation

a. Insulation roof by the false ceiling

[ false ceiling : roof lined by ply, straw or any other insulating materials.]

b. Insulation wall by cavity walls.

c. Reflection insulation by white paints
