Reflective situation about feeds

  • Livestock in Nepal are feed deficit by over 3 million MT per annum.
  • At least 500g of dry matter will be required for each additional little of milk production.
  • At least 8-10 kg of dry matter will be required for each kg of meat production.
  • Feed particularly in the form of fodder is the major factor limiting livestock productivity in Nepal. It is also because when animals are underfed, they would unquestionably get more susceptible to disease and parasites.
