Flowering and Fruiting
- Flowers are perfect, solitary, sessile, in advance of foliage, pink in color
- Flowering starts in first week of February and continues till the end of Feb
- Under low temp condition, swelling buds are injured at -6.5°C
- Sites which are free from spring frost are suitable as peaches bloom early in the season
- The flowering can be delayed by application of GA3 200 ppm before leaf fall or by ethephon to avoid the risk of spring frost
