A. Monitoring Indicators
a. Input indicators:
- This kind of information is gleaned from accounting and management records and is necessary for benefit cost analysis.
- Eg: Resources whether financial or physical or other provided?
b. Process indicators:
- Change in the process of implementing the particular activities
- For example:
- Has been the construction materials are available on time?
- Number of labors employed per day for construction of canal.
c. Output indicators:
- Used to judge whether or not specific project goals are being achieved and are expressed as numbers.
- For example:
- Number of farmers trained
- Number of farmers provided inputs
d. Outcome indicators:
- Measure the result of output.
B. Evaluation indicators:
a. Impact indicators:
- Impact indicators are used to measure the long-term effect of projects or sectoral activities. Change in the situation of before and after.
For example:
- Child mortality before and after the project
- Number of galvanized roofing materials in a village in 10 years interval
b. Quantitative indicators:
- Deals with the numeric values and easy to measure, For example:
- Marketing of vegetable in MT after intervention of project
- Number of farmers trained in agriculture service center
c. Qualitative indicators:
- Assess the change in behavior, attitudes knowledge and practice. Qualitative indicators are difficult to measure.
- For example:
- Increase of participation of women in CFUG assembly
- Change in health condition of women
