  • Bacteria: P.aviseptica, Erysipelothrix rheusopathie
  • Phytotoxins of certain plants
  • Foreign bodies: Sharp objects, dust, encysted larvae

Microscopic findings:

  • Infiltration with mononuclear cells
  • Tissue destruction due to inflammatory cells
  • Repair: proliferation of small vessels
