Types of information needed while conducting IPM

I. Identification of key pest of crop

• The pest which are generally above economic injury level and cause severe losses to crop should be identified.Helicoverpa armigera in tomato and cotton, aphid in mustard.

ii. Identification of secondary pest

• Not more damage as key pest. Their damaging nature fluctuates according to climatic condition.

iii.        Identification of biocontrol agents of primary and secondary natural enemies

iv. Identification of life cycle of insect

v. Appropriate management practices through B/C ratio

vi. Record keeping of different aspect

vii.       Social decision should be considered

viii.      Marketing channels should be identified
