Food security
- Food security is the practices of managing the essential food materials to global, regional or national level.
- For people to be food secure that is to have access at all times to the food required for a healthy and productive life.
- There must be both availability of food and access to food.
- Access to food by households (and individuals) is conditioned by poverty. The poor usually lack adequate means to secure access to food.
