b) Fusarium wilt

  • Caused by Fusarium sp.
  • Lower leaves start yellowing, wilt and die

 Control measures

  • Grow resistant vars. Like Marglobe
  • Follow up crop rotations to decrease the fungal population
  • Use healthy seeds
