a. Pusa Jwala:
- Released by IARI India and less affected by virus
- Light green in color and less pungent
- Good for salad
- Pods starts ripening 120-130 days after transplanting
- Yield: 70-80 quintals per hac
b. Pusa Sada Bahar:
- Released by IARI, India and cross between Pusa Jwala and IC 31339
- On ripening fruits acquire sliming dark red color

- Leaves- dark green, broad, larger than that of other chillies
- Flower color white
- Fruit- slightly longish, usually 4 lobed and
- Fruit size- 8-10
- Flowering 45-50 days after flowering
- Fruit become ready 20-25 days after flowering
