Hydroponics

  • Hydroponics involves growing plants in a soil less medium, usually perlite, rock wool or gravel, using a small pump to circulate nutrient-laden water through the root system.
  • It has following types:
  1. Nutrient Film technique (NFT)
  2. Deep Flow technique / Flood and drain
  3. Drip-system/ technique
  4. Wick system / technique (capillary movement)
  5. Root dip method
  6. Floating technique
