Urea Toxicity and Management:

  • Urea toxicity may occur when consumed excessive amount of treated straw at once.
  • Signs of toxicity:
    • Difficulty in respiration
    • Excessive salivation
    • Bellowing
    • Recumbency
  • Management of toxicity:
    • Drenching of 20-40 litre cold water immediately mixed with 4 litre acetic acid (vinegar).
