Based on the ownership of land

a) Estate farming :

  • Government is the owner of farming land
  • Output is used by government
  • Eg : Illam Tea Estate , Seed production farms

 

b) Collective farming :

  • Members of farmer groups or registered farms
  • Output are distributed among farmers
  • Eg : Farmers of a farmer group, shareholders of registered farm

 

c) Co-operative :

  • Member of cooperatives
  • Output are distributed among members based on land, labor and capital invested
  • Eg : Agriculture based cooperatives
