a) Subsistence farming:

  • Fulfill the family needs
  • Mostly internal inputs are used

 

b) Semi-subsistence farming:

  • Fulfill the family needs, also sell certain part of production
  • Selling a large part of production

 

c) Commercial farming :

  • Selling all the production
  • High level of external inputs and capital used
