Identification

  • Egg : yellow, cluster on lower side of side .
  • Larvae : greenish to yellow, 4-5 longitudinal streak on dorsal part of the body, many black spot o joint segment .

Life cycle

Eggs —4-6 days—-> Larva —3-4 weeks —> Pupa —-2 week –> Adult

 

Management

  • Natural predator : asssaian bug ,paper
  • Egg parasitoid : trichogramma wasp
  • Larval parasitoid : apenteles glomeartu, cortesia glomeratus .
  • Cow urine (1:7-10 ratio) with water acts as a repellent or antifeedant and garlic and neem soln also acts as a antifeedant and repellent .
  • Bacillus thuringiensis e dipel @ 0.5 g/l of water.
  • Cypermethrin 25% EC @ 200ml/liter .
