Damaging symptoms: sap sucking, Reddish brown spot appear at the site of infection.

 

Identification

  • Egg: laying in bud and axis on leaves often in the broken end of plucked
  • Nymph: first emerged nymph wingless, looks like
  • Adult: female- orange Male- black——- underside of leaves throughout the day.

 

Management

  • Proper pruning, weeding and shading.
  • Collect nymph and adult in insect sweeping net in early morning or everning.
  • Apply chemical insecticide , Malathion 50% EC @2ml/lit
