Damaging stage :- larva
Damaging symptoms:- Cut and roll the leaf from tip along the midvein ,forming a tunnel and feed within this shelter .
Identification:-
- Egg:- Yellowish , lower part of leaf
- Larva :- Grayish green to pale green which covered with short silky and white powdery
- Pupa :- present in rolled leaf .
- Adult :- Forewing of this moth are dark brown with prominent translucent yellow patches and hind wings are dark brown .
Life cycle :-
Egg –4-5 days—> larva —3-4 weeks–> Pupa –10 days—> Adult
Management :-
- Egg parasitoid :- Trichogramma
- Larva parasitoid :- Cotesia
- Pupal parasitoid :- Xanthopimpla ,xanthopimpla regina ,tachinidae.
