Citrus psylla ( Diaphorina citrii, psyllidae, hemiptera )

Damaging stage :- Nymp and adult

Damaging symptoms :-

• sap sucking , honey dew.
• Vector of citrus greening and die – back .
• No diapuse stage – premature fruit drop ,twisted young shoot ,rosette appearance.

Identification :-

• Egg:- Yellow cluster , tip of growing shoot .
• Nymph :- Orange –yellow in color.
• Adult :- Head light brown , wing are transparent and white spot .

Management :-

• Predator :- lady bird beetle ,wasp , lacewing ,spider.
• Effectiveness of insecticide Novaluron > Azadiracti dimethoate > Verticilium lecanii> Petroleum spray oil > Abamectin.
• Novaluron 10 EC (0.005%) and Azadiractin 1% ( 004%) is best insecticide for reducing the psylla.
• Seeding produced in nursery above 1300
• Metasytor 25% , 10m /Lit , DImethoate 30% , 10 mol/lit
