Design appropriate agroforestry project to conserve natural resources

The rapid increase in population and the growing trend of clearing the forest land for fodder, forage, fuel wood, and timber, and then agriculture production has been increased rapidly in the last 30 years. The massive exploitation of natural resources and the adoption of destructive practices by the farmers resulted in soil erosion in uplands creating siltation problems in downstream, decreased in agriculture production and increase in ecological disaster.

Appropriate and sustainable technologies like agroforestry are urgent needs of the farmers who want to protect other natural resources such as forests, range lands, water, soil, and productivity of the soil etc.
