Planting Methods:

  • First prepare a pit of standard size i.e. 30-60 cm3
  • Fill it with soil and FYM in recommended ratio (1:1 or 2:1)
  • Irrigate it so that it replace air, soil particles cohese each other. Now refill it
  • While planting plant on the pit use planting board to locate the plant at the centre
  • While planting plants keep graft union above soil surface
  • Irrigate immediately after planting , In order to replace air otherwise root may dry
  • For better contact of root with soil particles , Staking (giving support) is needed to the sapling which is very young and tender

 

Planting distance

  • The plants should be planted at proper spacing so as to favor proper growth of shoot and root
  • A properly spaced plant grows and develops in a proper canopy and produce proper yield and quality of produce
