a) In Gram positive (receptive to antibiotics), S-layer ( have 3 layers) is attached to peptidoglycan layer (Which is thick).

b) In gram negative (less receptive to antibiotics) , S layer ( have 2 layers) is attached to outer membrane ( which is thin).
