Damaging stage: grub

Damaging symptoms: young trees dies immediately, older tree weaken and fall down.

 

Identification

  • Egg: white too dark in color
  • Grub: creamy white, with black head and long mandibe
  • Pupa: inside root, soil
  • Adult: chestnut colored, head and thorax darker than elytra

Management

  • Avoid dry sandy soil
  • Do not use fresh dung manure
  • Soil cultivation
  • 30kgcarbofuran/ha before
