Citrus leaf minor ( Phyllocnistis citrella , phyllocnistidae, lepidioptera)

Damaging stage :- Larva

Damaging symptom:- Mining of leaves , feed mesophyll.

Identification :-

  • Egg:- Inside leaf , through
  • Larva :- yellow .
  • Pupa:- Inside leaves
  • Adult :- Silvery white color with winged fringed with long hair .

Life cycle :-

Egg —3-7 days—> Larva –1-2 week –> Pupa — 6 days–> Adult

 

Management :-

  • Collect and destroy the infected leaves .
  • Spray neem cake solution as repellent .
  • Eco –citrus leaf minor traps to capture male .
  • Remove sucker
  • Metasystok 25% EC @ 1 M/l water.
