Damaging symptoms: – Feeding young and tender leaf defoliation.

Identification:-

  • Egg:- Yellow , laying tender shoot ,leaf , singly
  • Larva: – Light green in
  • Pupa :- Light green in color , hanging on stem, wall
  • Adult: – Black with yellow marking, both thorax and abdomen are yellow laterally and black dorsally and ventrally

Life cycle :-

Egg —3-7 days–> larva —2 weeks–> Pupa —12-20 days—> Adult

 

Management :-

  • Hand pickling .
  • Egg parasitoid :- trichogramma
  • Bacillus thuringiensis (Biolep, Dipel ) @ 5 gm /L
  • Larva parasitoid :- Bracon Cytoplasmic polyhedrosis virus.

  • Malathion 50% EC 05%
