Damaging stage : larvae

Damaging symptoms :

  • Dark brown encrustation on the pod
  • Dry pod showing pin head size
  • Seed shriveled striped and partially

Identification

Egg :- layaing egg in plant and soil.

Larva :- tiny creamy white maggot, legless.

Pupa :- inside the pod

Adult :– metallic back fly.

 

Management

  • Collection and
  • Spray carbaryl ,repeat on 15 days
  • Systemic insecticide , dimethoate .
