Identification
- Egg: white, cluster
- Larva: creamy white or yellow head, devoid of stripes with atrophied
- Pupa: pupation on cane, pale yellow color
- Adult: white color and black spot on each forewings. Female have tuft of crimson red/orange or buff color anal hair.

- Trichogramma japonicum @50000/ha
- Light trap.
- Intercropped with dhaicha
- Resistant varieties
- Fipronil 1kg/ha
- Thiodiocarb 2gm/l
- Soil application: carbofuran 3G @30kg/ha, chloropyrifos @12.5 kg/ha.
