a) INTENSIVE FARMING :

b) EXTENSIVE FARMING :

  • Refers to a farming technique,within there is low level of inputs used, in larger land area
  • Lower amount of external inputs and capital , Locally devised tools and machinery.
  • Large and inexpensive
  • Eg : Subsistence farms

 

c) BIOINTENSIVE FARMING :

  • Refers to a farming system that focus on maximizing production from limited area,maintaining the biodiversity and sustainability of system
  • Bot the external inputs and internal resources are used efficiently
  • Small land holding
  • Eg : Organic farming.
