Classification
- Two types:
- Desi or brown chickpea:
- Colored and thick seed coat.
- Angular, more or less wrinkled.
- Smaller seeds and short duration.
- Kabuli or white chickpea:
- White or beige-colored seed.
- Thin seed coat and smooth seed surface.
- Larger seeds and longer duration.
