Gene regulation in Prokaryotes

  • There are several levels of gene regulation.
  • One regulates the synthesis of enzymes by controlling the transcription of mRNA.
  • Second occurs at translation and controls the activity of enzymes whose synthesis is not regulated.
  • It is done by two ways: one by operon and another by process of end-product inhibition.
