Lifecycle of Aspergillus

• Commonly known as blue mould and grows on almost all kinds of feed stuffs, leather goods, fabrics and books.
• Generally, are saprophytic but a few ( fumigatus) are parasitic on animals.
• Mycelium consists of an interwoven mass of hyphae.
• Hyphae are hyaline, septate, much branched and multinucleate.
